Who is it for?   The same rider looking for that classic balance of liveliness, comfort and stability as the Moots Vamoots discussed above, but who is willing to trade a little weight for the progressive strength, consistent performance across weather/terrain conditions, and improved modulation and heat dispersion of road disc brakes.

Noteworthy:  DR = Disc Ready. The Moots Vamoots DR takes the versatile geometry and tubing that helped make the standard Vamoots a classic and adds the performance of the most modern and strong braking systems (disc) available.

Bottom Line:  The Moots Vamoots DR is a narrow tire based road bike.  If you plan on using tires under 700x28c, but want the performance of road disc brakes, the Vamoots DR has a lot to talk about and offers all those great things that have made the Moots Vamoots series a classic.  With a disc specific frame construction and tubing selection that uses a tapered headtube paired with Enve’s respected carbon disc fork, there isn’t much to complain about here.  If you like the sounds of the Vamoots DR, but want to use wider tires, check out the Moots Routt, which offers similar handling and ride characteristics as the Moots Vamoots DR, but with a laterally stiffer front-end (thanks to the 44mm tapered fork), longer chainstays and a taller fork span to allow for tires up to 35mm wide.
