SRAM Issues Recall on a Small Number of Electronic Shifters

If you purchased your bike from us, this recall does not affect you.

SRAM has issued a recall affects 12-speed eTAP AXS Red, Force, Rival, and Apex shift-brake levers produced before July 1, 2023 and that were not installed by a professional bike shop at the time of purchase. SRAM has determined that even after the fixing bolt is tightened, some of these levers may rotate. If the clamp bolt is inadequately securing the lever to the handlebar, it could result in a loose lever, which in turn could result in a loss of control amd/or crash.

US CPSC Recall Notice

Again, this recall only affects shifters that were NOT installed by a professional bike shop. If your bike has these levers and you purchased it from Fit Werx, this recall does not affect you

Regardless, we suggest that you should regularly inspect your bike for loose or out-of-adjustment equipment.

If you have any questions please contact us.
