Cervelo introduced the new RCA today.   This “Made in USA” super bike showcases all that Cervelo can do today with technology in one refined race oriented package.  Some highlights:

• Sub 670 gram frame
• Squoval3 tube shape offers over 7 watts less drag than the standard R5
• Next generation composites – 3M™ Powerlux™ in the frame, and Integran/PowerMetal Nanovate™ nickel coating on the fork.
• Hollow dropouts
• Stiffness equivalent to the R5CA

While the R5CA runs $10,000 for the frameset, the commitment to forward thinking engineering developed in projects like the R5CA and now the RCA are what create great value bikes like the R3 105 ($2600, ready to ride).  Trickle down technology helps rider’s of all levels and budgets take advantage of very similar technology.
